Aigis is one of the main protagonists of the Persona series. She appeared in the 24th episode of DBX, Aigis VS Noel Vermillion, where she fought against Noel Vermillion from the BlazBlue series.
History
Aigis is an android, specificially a Seventh Generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, created by the Kirijo Group to combat the rampaging Shadow known as Death. Aigis would eventually fight Death on the Moonlight Bridge, hoping to destroy him in order to avoid the prophecy of The Fall. However, she was unable to beat him, and instead sealed him away in Makoto Yuki, who was the only survivor of a car crash that killed his parents during the battle. Afterwards, the Kirijo Group decided to erase Aigis' memories, which resulted in her losing her understanding of her emotions as well.
10 years later, Aigis would be found by Junpei Iori, Akihiko Sanada, and a now older Makoto, who were all members of SEES, a group of Persona users dedicated to fighting shadows. They tried to hit on her, but when Makoto approached her, she regained parts of her memory and ran away. Later that evening, she would be made a member of SEES by Shuji Ikutsuki, while also acting as Makoto's bodyguard. By working with SEES, Aigis would eventually regain her emotions over time, discovering a purpose for herself and learning what it means to be human.
