Lieutenant Akane Yashiro is a protagonist from the Godzilla series. She appeared in the 114th episode of Death Battle, Dragonzord VS Mechagodzilla, where she and Mechagodzilla fought against Tommy Oliver and the Dragonzord from the Power Rangers series.
History
Akane Yashiro was a member of the Anti-Megalosaurus Force of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces to battle against the constant kaiju threats. However, during one mission, she accidentally caused several deaths, due to putting her teammates into the path of Godzilla, and was thus forcefully retired as a technician and had to work as a librarian for several years. However, she was brought back to the force to assist the creation and maintenance of Japan‘s newest anti-kaiju weapon: Mechagodzilla, also known as Kiryu. During one mission, Kiryu was so damaged that he barely functioned, so Akane climbed into him to manually control him and finish the mission. This not just saved countless of lives and caused her to keep her job, it also created a special bond between her and the mechanical monster.
