- —Peppy Hare to Fox McCloud
The Arwing is a vehicle from the Star Fox series. It appeared in the 85th episode of DBX, X-Wing VS Arwing, where it and Fox McCloud fought against an X-wing from the Star Wars series.
History
Developed by Space Dynamics under exclusive contract, the Arwing starfighter was designed and manufactured to be the most powerful air and space superiority fighter in the galaxy. Built with an avian-esque design, with advanced propulsion systems, on-board holographic imaging systems, spaceframe design, and state-of-the-art G-diffuser system, the Arwing is the superior starfighter space flight capabilities in combat. The elegant craft's wings could sweep back automatically for high-speed cursing and deploy automatically for increased maneuverability in outer space and interplanetary environments. The Arwing's weaponry, a set of powerful laser cannons, Smart Bomb launcher, and lock-on homing targeting systems represented the cutting edge in Cornerian military technology, giving this formidable fighter the equivalent firepower of a front-line space cruiser, allowing the Arwing to be capable of taking on multiple enemy targets simultaneously. As a result, the Arwing became the signature ship of the Star Fox team, helping defend the Lylat System time and time again.
Cameo Appearances
Team Star Fox's Arwings appear in the beginning of Fox McCloud VS Bucky O'Hare, as they are preparing for a mission before Bucky's Righteous Indignation shot down Slippy, causing Fox to shoot Bucky down and land his own Arwing. His Arwing returns after the battle is finished, where he takes off after ripping off Slippy's legs.
Just before the fight begins in Palpatine VS Xehanort, an Arwing and an X-wing can be seen confronting each other, echoing their battle.
