Astro Boy is the main protagonist of the Astro Boy series. He appeared in the 55th episode of Death Battle, Mega Man VS Astro Boy, where he fought against Mega Man from the Mega Man series.
History
Astro Boy was created in the futuristic year of 2003 by the legendary inventor, Dr. Umataro Tenma, after his son Tobio was tragically killed in a car crash, in order to have a second chance at being a father. However, when Tenma realized that Astro would never grow up or ever be fully human, he abandoned the robot boy and sold him to a robot circus. During this time, Astro was discovered and adopted by another man of science, Dr. Hiroshi Ochanomizu. Astro was touched by the good doctor's kindness and it inspired him to become a hero for both humans and robots alike. With a few upgrades and database updates, he would prove to be just the kind of hero he always wanted to be.
