Baraka is a protagonist from the Mortal Kombat series. He appeared in the 61st episode of DBX, Wolverine VS 100 Barakas, where he and 99 of his kin fought against Wolverine from Marvel Comics.

History

Baraka is a member of a lowly Outworld race called the Tarkatans, known for unpredictable behavior and possessing a frequent violent streak. Brutal and merciless, Baraka spearheaded a raid on the Wu Shi Academy and murdered all the Shaolin monks in the area. With his blades covered in the monks' blood, he and Mileena then planned to overthrow Outworld's conqueror, Shao Kahn, but failed. As punishment, he and his fellow Tarkatans were sent to the lowlands of Outworld. His people would be reduced to mere servants of Shao Kahn's empire, but even still, Baraka hopes to rise up one day and restore the pride of the Tarkatan race.
