Bardock is a protagonist from the Dragon Ball series. He appeared in the 188th episode and '24 Premiere of Death Battle, Omni-Man VS Bardock, where he fought against Omni-Man from the Invincible series.
History
Bardock was a low-class Saiyan warrior from Planet Vegeta, who faithfully served the military forces of King Cold and his immediate family for years. While he was also a man with a family, it didn't really change his ruthless nature. That is, until the day he and his team were dispatched to the planet Cereal. During their siege, Bardock came across a lone woman and her child, seeing his own family in them and risking everything to protect them. But it was not long after that when he learned that King Cold's son, Frieza, planned to inexplicably destroy all the Saiyans. As such, he and his wife were quick to send their own son, Kakarot, to another planet so at least one of their kind can be spared.
Bardock then put up a valiant one-man fight against Frieza and his followers, but the tyrant's overwhelming power ultimately left his efforts in vain, wiping out him, his planet, and most of his people. In his last moments, however, he would see a vision of his son facing Frieza in the future. Although Kakarot — now known as Goku — would never get to know his father, he would go on to not only defeat Frieza, but become one of the greatest warriors across the multiverse, becoming someone Bardock would truly be proud to call his son.
