Bardock is a protagonist from the Dragon Ball series. He will appear in an upcoming episode of Death Battle, Omni-Man VS Bardock, where he will fight against Omni-Man from the Invincible series.
History
As a low-class Saiyan warrior, Bardock led a group of mercenaries to decimate planets for the tyrant Frieza, who ruled over his people. He eventually fell in love with fellow warrior Gine, whom he married and had two sons with, Raditz and Kakarot. Despite the Saiyans being a ruthless warrior race, Gine's kindness eventually rubbed off on him. He eventually learned that Frieza was planning to extinguish the Saiyan race as he grew paranoid about rumors of the Legendary Super Saiyan, fearing it would allow them to overthrow him. Luckily, the infant Kakarot had been safely sent to Earth, right before he led his people to confront Frieza. The tyrant's overwhelming power ultimately left his efforts in vain, wiping out him, his planet, and most of his people. In his last moments, however, he would see a vision of his son facing Frieza, as one of the last living Saiyans and his legacy. Although Kakarot — now known as Goku — would never get to know his father, he would go on to not only defeat Frieza, but become one of the greatest warriors across the multiverse, becoming someone Bardock would truly be proud to call his son.
