Barbara Gordon, also known as Batgirl, is a superheroine from DC Comics. She appeared in the 137th episode of Death Battle, Batgirl VS Spider-Gwen, where she fought against Spider-Gwen from Marvel Comics.
History
Barbara Gordon was the daughter of Gotham City's Police Commissioner James Gordon, whom she looked up to her whole life. When the shadowy Batman debuted, Barbara idolized him as well and was inspired to become a crime fighter herself. She made her debut at a Gotham Police Ball, taking down the supervillain Killer Moth as the city's newest vigilante, "Batgirl". Her exploits eventually garnered the Dark Knight's attention, and soon Batgirl became part of Batman's ever-growing Bat-Family. Her career wasn't without struggles, though, like when she was shot in the spine by the Joker and was paralyzed from the waist down, forcing her to don the tech-savy "Oracle" identity for a time to continue to help. But she pushed through and eventually fully recovered, showing that Batgirl doesn't stay down forever.
