Bill Cipher (real name unknown[Note 2]) is the main antagonist of the Gravity Falls series. He appeared in the 180th episode of Death Battle, Bill Cipher VS Discord, where he fought against Discord from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series.
History
Bill Cipher is a malevolent, triangular entity from the two-dimensional world of Euclydia, which he destroyed a trillion years ago in a failed attempt to reveal to his people the third dimension, visible only to him due to his unique eye. Broken and wracked with guilt, he convinced himself he had "liberated" his people and went on to conquer the chaotic Nightmare Realm, ruling it for eons. Yet even this anarchic domain was not enough to satiate his desire for chaos, so Bill set his sights on the third dimension, craving a new realm to run amok. His chance came when Stanford Pines, a brilliant scientist, summoned him within the town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. He began manipulating Ford into building an interdimensional portal, but it wasn't long before Ford realized Bill's true intentions and tried to stop him.
Becoming increasingly paranoid about the dream demon's influence over his mind, Ford entrusted his twin brother, Stanley, with the final blueprint of the portal. However, a heated argument between the brothers resulted in Ford being pulled into another dimension and destroying the portal. Bill was then forced to wait for a new opportunity to strike. His waiting would pay off decades later, when the arrival of Dipper and Mabel Pines inadvertently set the stage for Bill's return as the portal was repaired, reigniting his sinister schemes. He managed to trick Mabel into breaking a rift, the last remnant of the portal, which fused Bill's domain with the real world, letting him gain a physical body and the ability to—
