Interlude
The scene opens with the lights flickering on in the arena and the camera panning over to reveal the large crowd of people watching the show. Ringmaster makes his appearance as he steps onto the main stage and walks towards his microphone which he then grabs in order to properly introduce himself to his audience.
Ringmaster: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to MY Arena where there's no rules, no research, only bloodshed! I am Ringmaster! Your announcer, your host extraordinaire for this extravaganza! And let me welcome you, to, the EXHIBITION!!! In today's match, we have a battle that will decide it all! The question of the ages: cats or dogs, which is superior? In one corner, we have the dual-sword-swinging, the gun-shooting, cat-eared ninja, Blake, BELLADONNA!!! And in the other corner, we have the tsundere, the half-demon, the Akita, INUYASHA!!! Let's size up the competition!
Comparison
Ringmaster: First off, both of them have amazing animal traits, like with her Faunus heritage, can see in the dark like many cats in the world, but that's not all! She's easily distracted by laser pointers and even a tad anxious around dogs. Heh heh.
We see an animation of Ringmaster writing on a clipboard and noticed he has cat ears before shrugging it off and continuing to write on his clipboard.
Ringmaster: Talk about scratching off all the cat girl checkboxes, am I right? However, this won't stop her from kicking your ass cause this Belle is stronger than a beast, tougher than a stale baguette, and faster than your cat at 3 a.m. She can even make Shadow Clones of herself, so if you're having a hard time keeping up with her, well, it may not even be her! On the other hand, Inuyasha is half-demon dog, half-human, which means he's strong enough to put your average gym bro to shame, durable enough to consider everything a flesh wound, and fast enough to dodge la chanclas...
We see an animation of Ringmaster dodging a slipper before getting hit from behind.
Ringmaster: Which is Mama's heat-seeking house slippers if you don't habla español. To get a boost to his stats, he throws away his human decency and goes rabid animal form!
We see an animation of Ringmaster with dog ears, a tail and fangs as Ringmaster makes dog noises.
Ringmaster: Enough about their abilities though, let's talk about their dope-ass swords! Blake's sword, the Gambol Shroud can transform!
We see an animation of Ringmaster holding Gambol Shroud, as it goes from a cleaver, to a katana, to a gun.
Ringmaster: It goes from sick-ass cleaver to katana with a built-in gun! And if that isn't enough, she can whip it around on a ribbon! Pretty useful for some long-range decapitating action! On the other side of things, Inuyasha has the Tessaiga, a sword forged from his father's tooth. Ugh... pretty disgusting when you think about it. But this sword lets Inuyasha create destructive winds and even make tornadoes, and if that's not enough, it shoots diamond spears! Demon magic is pretty nifty, isn't it?
We cut to Ringmaster.
Ringmaster: Now I'm sure this pair will rain down one hell of a fight, so, without further ado, let the exhibition BEGIIIIIIIN!!!
Exhibition
The scene opens with a squirrel carrying a purple sphere in it mouth. As it scurries away, Inuyasha appears, landing on the ground. He tries to slash the squirrel, but is too slow. He chases after the rodent in a building and makes a second attempt at slashing the rodent before trying to slash it with his claws, but the squirrel still proves too be too fast for him. Inuyasha launches a Kenatsu from his sword, which the squirrel avoids by ducking. Unbeknownst to him, the attack makes its way to Blake Belladona, who was sleeping on the ground in one of the building's wooden structures. Her cat ears twitch as she picks up the sound from Inuyasha's Kenatsu and she promptly wakes up. The attack destroys two of the chains holding up the wooden structure, although, Blake hangs on to it. She jumps from it to kick Inuyasha, who finally managed to catch the squirrel, in the face.
Blake: Yah!
Inuyasha is sent careening away from the surprise attack, although he quickly recovers and growls in frustration. The half-breed hanyō and the cat Faunus proceed to clash, with Inuyasha launching a barrage of Hijin Kessō projectiles at Blake with machine gun-like speed, although Blake easily dodges them all. She strikes her Gamble Shroud against her foe's Tessaiga Sword and whacks him away with Gamble Shroud's kusarigama. Inuyasha recovers and strikes back, but is briefly overwhelmed by Blake's speed and sent flying towards a pillar. He jumps from it and manages to outspeed Blake instead this timem skashing her three times and kicking her away. Blake recovers mid-air and lands on the edge of a wooden pillar. Using Kenatsu, Inuyasha slashes the pillar in half.
Trivia
Production
- The connections between Blake and Inuyasha are that they are both sword-wielding heroes who were ostracized by society due to being part of an animal-like race (Faunus and dog hanyō, respectively). Both struggle with complex family dynamics and societal issues (Blake's involvement with the White Fang strains her relationships, while Inuyasha has strained connections with his human mother Izayoi and demon father Tōga, as well as his half-brother Sesshōmaru). Throughout their respective journeys, both experienced significant personal growth, evolving from conflicted individuals into heroes with clearer purposes and greater self-understanding.
- This episode has the third closest vote, only behind Boa Hancock VS Rider Medusa and Yang VS Bakugo.
