Broly is a protagonist from the Dragon Ball series. He appeared in the 139th episode and Season 7 Finale of Death Battle, Hulk VS Broly, where he fought against The Hulk from Marvel Comics.
History
Broly is an elite Saiyan warrior who was born with an extraordinary power level of 10,000. This abnormally high power shocked King Vegeta, and he exiled the infant Saiyan to the planet Vampa, fearing that Broly might one day not only challenge his son for the throne, but also become a danger to the universe itself. Broly's father, Paragus, swore revenge against the king by molding his son into a powerful warrior, but Broly had a softer side to him, evident when he befriended a giant creature known as Ba whom he occasionally sparred with. Paragus, however, forced that part of Broly to be mostly suppressed, seeing this development as a hindrance to Broly's growth.
Both Broly and Paragus were later taken in by the tyrannical Frieza and enlisted into his Frieza Force, which soon led to a fateful encounter with Vegeta and Son Goku. It was during the chaos of their fight that Broly attained the form of the Legendary Super Saiyan, becoming a force to be reckoned with and a beast of near-uncontrollable rage. But even then, Broly could not defeat the Saiyan duo, returning to Vampa freed from Frieza and his now-deceased father, and accompanied by Cheelai and Lemo, two former Frieza Force soldiers. Broly now works to try and control his great power, all while maintaining a new friendly rivalry with Goku and friends.
