Butterfree are creatures from the Pokémon series. One appeared in the 80th episode of DBX, Lucario VS Blaziken, where it and Lucario fought against fellow Pokémon team Serena, Blaziken, Weavile, and Nidoking.
History
Butterfree is a Bug/Flying-type lepidopteran insect Pokémon resembling a butterfly with a purple body, starting off as a Caterpie, before eventually evolving into a Metapod and finally into Butterfree. Unlike true insects, it only has two body segments, four light blue legs, and a sensitive antenna that can detect the odors of blooming flowers six miles from its nest in search of nectar, which it carries with the hairs of its legs. It will defend Caterpie from bird Pokémon using this powder. This powder also repels water, enabling it to fly and gather honey even in the rain. The wings of Butterfree are coated with poisonous scales that easily fall off continuously as it flies which, if inhaled, could result in several ailments. Though they are not exactly popular for their combat capabilities, Butterfree makes up for it for being an adorable member on any team.
