Cole MacGrath is one of the main protagonists of the inFAMOUS series. He appeared in the 181st episode of Death Battle, Cole MacGrath VS Alex Mercer, where he fought against Alex Mercer from the Prototype series.
History
Cole MacGrath was once just an ordinary bike courier delivering packages in Empire City, until the day he received a mysterious phone call, telling him to open a package he was currently delivering. Cole initially refused, but after he was offered $500, he ended up making the biggest mistake of his life. The package he opened contained the Ray Sphere, a device that suddenly exploded and instantly devastated a good chunk of the city. Miraculously still alive at the epicenter of the blast, Cole awoke to discover he was somehow given control over artificial and natural electricity.
With his city in quarantine of a plague that followed the Ray Sphere's explosion, Cole was determined to uncover who set him up and why. After fighting several other superpowered beings, he eventually discovered the truth, that being the package was sent from a man named Kessler, his future self. He manipulated events and posed as a terrorist leader in order to give Cole more experience, power, and mental fortitude to take down The Beast, a being who decimated Kessler's timeline. After relocating in New Marais, Louisiana, Cole was given a choice: either save the planet from this apocalyptic evil and become the hero the world needs, or take over the world himself and become its worst nightmare.
