History
Born in Henryville, Indiana, USA, Colonel Harland Sanders held a many number of jobs in his life, but he found his true calling in 1940 when he founded the Harland Sanders Café. Selling fried chicken to hungry Americans during the Great Depression, Sanders developed his patented secret recipe. Recognizing his restaurant's potential, he began franchising, and thus, KFC was born. His restaurants would go on to feed endless amounts of hungry families all across the world, a picture of his face on every bucket of chicken sold. Though he passed in 1980, he would leave a permanent legacy, forever becoming the face of fried chicken.
