Matthew "Matt" Murdock, also known as Daredevil, is a superhero from Marvel Comics. He appeared in the 99th episode of Death Battle, Nightwing VS Daredevil, where he fought against Nightwing from DC Comics.
He also appeared in the 49th episode of DBX, Daredevil VS Kenshi, where he fought against Kenshi Takahashi from the Mortal Kombat series.
History
Matthew Murdock grew up in the harsh skirts of Hell's Kitchen, bullied by many, though raised with compassion by his single boxer father. Matt's life would change forever when he saved an old man's life from a speeding truck, since in the process, a radioactive material spilled out of the truck and into Matt's eyes, rendering him completely blind. Strangely, though, his other senses heightened to superhuman levels, to the point that he could detect his surroundings with ease and put himself in great pain from the slightest sound, touch, or scent.
Fortunately, Matt learned how to master these new senses thanks to combat training from the blind fighting master, Stick. He fine-tuned his senses to near perfection and learned martial arts, acrobatics, and gymnastics, and eventually even earned a law degree. One day, Matt's father refused to throw a fight in front of his son and was killed by gangsters, so Matt used his training to track down the criminals and avenge his father's death. Since then, he was inspired to become someone who can help those who can't help themselves like he did. By day, he is a lawyer who fights for justice by the book, but by night — when the system fails — he enacts his own justice as the costumed vigilante known as "Daredevil".
