- —Dick Simmons
Captain Richard "Dick" Simmons is one of the main protagonists of the Red vs. Blue series. He appeared in the 136th episode of Death Battle, Red VS Blue, where he and his teammates fought against the Blue Team.
History
Captain Richard Simmons is the Red Team's unofficial second-in-command. During his youth, Simmons was a stereotypical nerd as he is now, but his father abused him for these traits, making Simmons lack a proper father figure. After joining the military, Simmons was quite hateful towards his teammates at first, except for Sarge, which caused Simmons to be referred to as a "kiss-ass" by his peers. As his time in Blood Gulch progressed, however, Simmons began to treat his teammates with the greatest concern, respect, and compassion than most others, and eventually becoming the voice of reason for Sarge's insane plans. Regardless, Simmons always sticks by his team, even after becoming a cyborg at one point.
