Dio Brando, also known as DIO, is one of the main antagonists of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. He appeared in the 151st episode of Death Battle, DIO VS Alucard, where he fought against Alucard from the Hellsing series.
He also appeared in the 62nd episode of DBX, Alucard VS Dio Brando, where he fought against Alucard from the Hellsing series.
History
Dio Brando grew up a cunning street rat while constantly being abused by his abusive and alcoholic father, Dario. After Dario's death, Dio was sent to live with the wealthy Joestar Family, due to George Joestar falsely believing he owed a debt to Dario. Dio's upbringing gave him a yearning for power that could not be sated, and he quickly asserted himself as the superior of his new adoptive brother, Jonathan, beginning an intense rivalry. This ultimately led to Dio casting aside his humanity in pursuit of immortality by using an ancient Stone Mask, becoming a vampire and seeking world domination as opposed to merely earthly riches. Dio's conflicts with his brother concluded with their apparent mutual defeat at sea, but DIO would resurface many years later with a new body and new powers. But even after being defeated a second time by one of Jonathan's descendants, DIO's influence would compel others to carry on his devilish wishes and fight a vicious battle to the finish against the Joestar lineage.
