Discord is a protagonist from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. He appeared in the 180th episode of Death Battle, Bill Cipher VS Discord, where he fought against Bill Cipher from the Gravity Falls series.
History
Discord is the living spirit of chaos, appearing as a creature with of the head of a pony and a body of all sorts of other things. Back in ancient times, Discord ruled over Equestria and caused chaos anywhere he wanted. It took the combined forces of the princesses Celestia and Luna and the Elements of Harmony to turn Discord into stone and end his tyranny. However, thousands of years later, his petrified body was cracked, releasing him back into the world. He tried to corrupt the new wielders of the Elements to ensure he would not be petrified once more, but the magic of their friendship proved to be too powerful, and he was stopped once again.
This would have been the end of Discord, but Celestia attempted to redeem him by having Fluttershy befriend him, suspecting his powers could be better suited for harmony than evil. To everyone's surprise, Discord took a liking to Fluttershy, becoming a genuine friend to her. However, while he was partially tamed, he was not redeemed. That is, until he betrayed Equestria by helping the villainous Lord Tirek steal all magic, which, to his shock, also happened to include Discord's own. It was this aftermath that forced Discord to realize the folly of his old ways, giving Twilight Sparkle a trinket which ended being the (literal) key to Tirek's defeat. Having realized the true importance of friendship, Discord became accepted among ponykind and a genuine force of good, albeit one that still causes occasional chaos.
Well, but of course! After all, life's no fun without a little chaos... If someone should bring it, it may as well be me! Hahahahaha!!!

Cameo Appearances
A cloud in the shape of Discord's head can be seen near the center of the first shot of the fight. Although hard to make out in the episode itself, a close-up of the cameo was shown in Bill Cipher VS Discord.
The same cloud resembling Discord's head from Phoenix VS Raven can be seen in the sky in some shots, most notably when Guts and Dimitri rush towards and start slashing at each other halfway into the fight. Although easy to miss due to the on-screen action, a close-up of the cameo was shown in Bill Cipher VS Discord.
A poster depicting a stylized Discord cropped from art by Susie Combs can be seen on the bulletin board in John Jones' office. Later, the cloud resembling his head from Phoenix VS Raven and Guts VS Dimitri can be seen in the background of the asteroid field Martian Manhunter and Silver Surfer fly through right after when the fight starts proper. Although easy to miss due to the numerous asteroids in the background and the camera flying past it, a close-up of the second cameo was shown in a behind-the-scenes look on Twitter.
A framed picture of Discord can be seen in some parts of the fight, namely in the first hallway the monster chases Scooby and Courage through and above the fireplace in the room where Scooby and Courage engage in a thumb war.
The cloud resembling Discord's head can be seen on the top-right corner of the screen as the Screaming Sun rises above the horizon of its planet after the Doctor lands the TARDIS on it.
Although easy to miss, the cloud resembling Discord's head can be seen near the bottom of the aurora during the scene of Goku seeing the glowing light produced by Superman flying through every yellow star in the galaxy.
The cloud resembling Discord's head can be seen to the left of Galactus during the scene of him and Unicron exchanging physical blows on each other.
Albeit difficult to make out, the cloud resembling Discord's head can be seen next to the Green Fall Guy right before they get incinerated by the Impostor's planet-slicing laser.
