Doctor Emmett Lathrop "Doc" Brown is one of the main protagonists of the Back to the Future series. He appeared in the fourth episode and Series Finale of Death Race, Sonic VS Mario VS Star Wars VS Initial D, where he and his DeLorean raced against Captain Falcon from the F-Zero series, Mario from the Super Mario series, Sonic the Hedgehog from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Takumi Fujiwara from the Initial D series, and a Scout Trooper from the Star Wars series.
History
An eccentric scientist from Hill Valley, Doc Brown is the closest confidant of highschooler Marty McFly, often enlisting him to assist in testing his inventions. While at first a humble (if praised) figure within the sleepy town he lived in, his destiny would change one night in 1985, where he would unveil his magnum opus: a DeLorean custom that, upon reaching a speed of 88 miles-per-hour when charged with 1.21 gigawatts of power, was capable of traveling through time. While the Doc Brown of our present had his life briefly cut short through Libyan terrorists, his past counterpart regardless proved helpful in assisting McFly get back to his present, even managing to help raise his parents' standing against the town's bully, Biff Tannen. However, once the Biff of the past managed to get ahold of a sports almanac from the then-distant 2015, Brown once again was enlisted into helping McFly save his town from falling into Biff's foul hands, outwitting both his past and future counterpart to restore honor to the McFlys' name.
However, after a stray bolt of lightning struck the DeLorean while Doc was inside, he found himself warped to the year of 1885, requiring Marty to once again save him from the wrath of one of the Tannen family's members, Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen. During his time within the Wild West as the town's inventor, he found himself smitten with schoolteacher Clara Clayton, causing the scientist to once again alter the past to better the destiny of the ghosts of the past. At the end of his journey, Doc would find himself becoming both a brilliant time traveler and a family man to his beloved wife and children, fading into the timestream to wherever discovery lies in wait.
