Espio the Chameleon is a protagonist from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He appeared in the 18th episode of DBX, Greninja VS Espio, where he fought against a Greninja from the Pokémon series.
History
Espio is a quiet, reserved chameleon gifted with the abilities of ninjutsu and espionage, with very little known about his early life. What is known is that he was once captured by the nefarious Doctor Eggman while investigating the strange occurrences on Isolated Island, and would be freed by Knuckles the Echidna, who had also come to explore the mysterious new island. The two quickly formed an alliance to search for the mythical Chaos Rings and take down the mad doctor. Soon after Eggman's defeat, Espio, alongside previous associates Vector the Crocodile and Charmy Bee, would help found the Chaotix Detective Agency as detectives-for-hire, though would unfortunately find themselves in a constant state of debt. Despite this, Espio continues to put his talents to good use in saving the world on several occasions, next to the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog.
