Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark, also known as Iron Man, is a superhero from Marvel Comics. He appeared in the 46th episode of Death Battle, Iron Man VS Lex Luthor, where he and J.A.R.V.I.S. fought against Lex Luthor from DC Comics. He returned for the 148th episode, Batman VS Iron Man, where he fought against Batman from DC Comics.
History
Anthony Stark is the adoptive son of Howard and Maria Stark. He is a master prodigy, building his first engine at age six, and getting his masters degree at MIT at age 15. When his parents died from a car crash, he inherited Stark Industries, using the profits from the weapons manufacturing and trading for his own excursions. That all changed after a demonstration in Afghanistan, where he was severely wounded, inflicted with heart damage from a shrapnel bomb, and captured by terrorists, who wanted him to build more weapons for them. Instead, Tony would escape by first developing an Arc Reactor to keep the shrapnel in his heart from killing him, then built a suit of armor to fly him to safety. Upon his return home, Tony shut down the weapon manufacturing wing, and dedicated his life to protecting humanity through his technology. All this was possible thanks to a new suit he'd don to become the hero dubbed "Iron Man". Throughout his many battles, he became one of the founding members of the Avengers, and has created countless suits for any type of battle he might come across.
