General Dru-Zod is a supervillain from DC Comics. He appeared in the 35th episode of DBX, Vegeta VS Zod, where he fought against Vegeta from the Dragon Ball series.
History
Born on the planet of Krypton, Dru-Zod was the son of Kryptonian scientists who were killed during a wilderness expedition. Zod was forced to survive on his own for over a year until he was rescued by the scientist Jor-El. As he grew older, Zod became a distinguished soldier in the Kryptonian military. He possessed the usual Kryptonian powers, and those combined with his unyielding resolve and years of training and experience made him a remarkable soldier. He eventually became concerned with Krypton's violent neighboring species, the Char. Frustrated by his fellow Kryptonians' lax attitude, he forged a group of like-minded followers, such as his lieutenants Faora and Non, and unleashed a Char-like creature on Krypton's populace to justify a war against them. However, Jor-El discovered Zod's deception and turned him over to the authorities, who found Zod guilty of treason and sentenced him and his collaborators to be exiled to the Phantom Zone. However, years later, Zod would escape and land on Earth. Although he found that Krypton was destroyed and Jor-El was dead, he would seek revenge against Jor-El through his son, Kal-El, better known as Superman, becoming one of his greatest enemies.
