Agent Genji Shimada is a protagonist from the Overwatch series. He appeared in the 20th episode of DBX, Genji VS Raiden, where he fought against Raiden from the Metal Gear series.
History
Genji Shimada was born the lazy youngest son of the master of the Shimada ninja clan in Japan. He was raised to be a skilled ninja alongside his older brother, Hanzo, but wasn't interested in his family's illegal business, even after their father had passed on. This did not sit well with Hanzo, and the two brothers clashed in a violent manner, nearly resulting in Genji's demise. He would be rescued by Overwatch, but just barely, as the damage that had been done was so severe that they offered to rebuild his body through extensive cyberization in exchange for his help in the dismantling of his former clan. As time went on, however, Genji felt repulsed by his mechanical half and left Overwatch when the job was done, but would later return when the need had come, with some new enlightenment in tow.
