Goku Black VS Black Adam is the 40th episode and Season 2 Finale of DBX, featuring Goku Black from the Dragon Ball series and Black Adam from DC Comics in a battle between dark counterparts to great heroes.

In a remote desert, Black Adam lands on the ground, producing shockwaves that destroys nearby rocks and a blinding light while the spot he lands in becomes scorched. The Living Lightning crackles around his body.
Black Adam: Bow to your master!
As he demands that his opponent submits to him, Black Adam launches a bolt of lightning at Goku Black, who blocks it with his palm before crossing his arms.
Goku Black: I'll get to go even stronger. I'll destroy you and reach even greater heights!
As Goku Black proclaims his superiority over his new nemesis, he lands on the ground and transforms into his Super Saiyan Rosé form, causing several pebbles to float before they dissipate as he surrounds himself in a pink aura.
Goku Black: What do you think of this color? Is it not beautiful?
Ignoring Goku Black's question, Black Adam puts on a defensive stance.
Black Adam: You are not my equal!
Fissures appear on the ground as a result of both combatants' immense power.
Goku Black rushes at Black Adam and attempts to land a punch, which is blocked by the latter's forearm. The two proceed to duke it out, until Black Adam manages to kick Goku Black away as he crosses his arms to defend himself. Goku Black unleashes his aura once more and flies towards Black Adam to kick him in the face, who responds by punching him in the back. They continue their close-quarters battle until they both fly into the air. Black Adam launches a series of thunderbolts, which Goku Black counters with pink, bolt-like Ki Blasts.
They rush at each other once more and resume their close combat before whizzing through the sky at blinding speeds. Finally, Black Adam briefly gets the upper hand and manages to briefly overpower Goku Black to shoot a lightning stream at him. Goku Black manages to exit the stream's trajectory and turns the tide of the battle, pummeling Black Adam before he can react. Black Adam tries to punch Goku Black, only for him to dodge as he kicks Black Adam's face a second time before uppercutting him all the way into space. Black Adam regains his footing, dodges a kick from Goku Black, and grabs his hair to electrocute him.
Black Adam: I will spit on your tomb.
As he takes the time to insult his nemesis, Black Adam punches Goku Black towards the ground before pummeling him repeatedly.
Black Adam: Feel the strength of the gods!
Black Adam coats himself in electricity and tackles his opponent before dropkicking him in the stomach. Goku Black finally crashes on the ground, leaving behind a burned crater.
Black Adam: Shazam!
Black Adam calls upon a powerful thunderbolt that destroys several rocks while emitting a flashing light. Goku Black, however, is completely unfazed.
Goku Black: Hahahahahahahaha!
Goku Black uses Instant Transmission and charges a black ball of ki as he radiates his pink aura once more.
Goku Black: Get out of my sight!
In response, Black Adam releases a powerful beam of lightning at his enemy.
Goku Black: Kamehameha!
Goku Black fires forward his Super Black Kamehameha, which clashes with Black Adam's lightning beam. Goku Black creates a clone of himself who prepares his Violent Fierce God Slicer attack.
Goku Black: Taste my blade!
The clone slashes at Black Adam, which does no damage but interrupts his usage of his lightning beam, allowing Goku Black to eradicate him with his own beam.
Black Adam: RAAAAAHHHH!
Goku Black looks down at the spot where Black Adam once stood, proud of his victory.
Goku Black: This is for our utopia.
Trivia
Production
- The connections between Goku Black and Black Adam are that they are both dark counterparts to a hero (Son Goku and Shazam, respectively) with powers similar to theirs (Goku Black wished to switch bodies with Goku after using the Super Dragon Balls and inherited his powers, while Black Adam is a champion of the Wizard, much like Shazam), have "Black" in their names, and wield godly abilities (Goku Black is a god with the ability to use evil godly ki, while Black Adam wields the power of the Egyptian Gods). Both also share a belief in the righteousness of their actions (Goku Black seeks to eradicate mortals for a "perfect" universe, while Black Adam rules over Kahndaq with an iron fist and often commits heinous actions in the name of his people).
Errors
- In the Dragon Ball series, when Goku Black uses his The Work of the Gods technique, he uses his Sickle of Sorrow to open a hole in reality in which a few clones of himself emerge from it. In this episode, however, Black only creates a single clone without making use of the technique.
