Inuyasha is the main protagonist of the InuYasha series. He appeared in the 74th episode of DBX, Blake VS Inuyasha, where he fought against Blake Belladonna from the RWBY series.
History
Born as the half-breed hanyō child of a Great Dog Demon and a human noblewoman, Inuyasha was outcast at a young age by both humans and yōkai alike. Following the passing of his mother and tired of his mistreatment, he sought out the sacred Shikon Jewel, planning on harnessing its power to transform himself into a full yōkai. However, after befriending and falling in love with the shrine maiden, Kikyō, he began to reconsider using the jewel to instead become a full human. Unfortunately, both would be manipulated by the malevolent hanyō, Naraku, and Kikyō would be tricked into firing a sacred arrow that would seal Inuyasha within a tree.
50 years later, he would be reawakened by the modern incarnation of Kikyō, Kagome Higurashi, who also possessed the Shikon Jewel within her body. Despite sharing similar appearance as his previous lover, they initially did not get along. But after the Shikon Jewel was extracted, then shattered across Japan, the two of them would be forced to worked together to regather the jewel's shards before the likes of Naruku, alongside many other companions. And through Kagome's unwavering kindness and compassion, he would not only open up and eventually fall in love again, but overcome his inner turmoil of conflicting heritages. Many would stand in his way, but through it all, he always fought to protect the people he cherishes most.
