Daniel "Danny" Rand-K'ai, also known as Iron Fist, is a superhero from Marvel Comics. He appeared in the 145th episode of Death Battle, Iron Fist VS Po, where he fought against Po Ping from the Kung Fu Panda series.
He also appeared in the 30th episode of DBX, Iron Fist VS Akuma, where he fought against Akuma from the Street Fighter series.
History
Daniel Rand was born in New York City. His father, Wendell Rand, hailed from the mystical city of K'un Lun as the ruler's adoptive son, leaving later on to become a wealthy entrepreneur in the United States. Wendell later organized an expedition to return to K'un-L'un, taking his wife Heather, his business partner Harold Meachum and a nine-year-old Danny. Unfortunately, during the journey up the mountain, Meachum double-crosses Wendell, making him fall to his death, while Heather was attacked by a pack of wolves trying to protect Danny.
Some K'un-L'un natives took the grieving Danny to the mystic city, where he expressed his desire for vengeance chose to train under the K’un-Lun style of martial arts, proving quite gifted. At age 19, Danny was given his final test of fighting and defeating the dragon Shou-Lao the Undying. After defeating the dragon, Danny plunged his fists into a brazier containing the creature's molten heart, granting him mystic powers and transforming him into the superhero, "Iron Fist". Upon returning stateside, Iron Fist abandoned his thirst for vengeance and inherited his family business, using his newfound fortune to make his hometown better while also using his dragon-like honor and spirit for the sake of justice.
