Jinx (born Powder) is one of the main protagonists of the Arcane series, and an antagonist from the League of Legends series. She appeared in the 156th episode and Season 9 Premiere of Death Battle, Harley Quinn VS Jinx, where she fought against Harley Quinn from DC Comics.
History
Powder grew up orphaned alongside her sister Violet in the slums of Zaun, their parents having died in a revolt for the city's independence. The sisters were adopted by Vander, a former boxer-turned-bartender. One day, Powder and her adopted family broke into the residence of Jayce Talis in order to carry out a burglary. Powder mishandled some unrefined crystals, leading to an explosion and alerting enforcers, which ultimately led to Vander turning himself in for his family's sake.
However, the crime lord Silco stepped in, who intended to experiment on Vander with his experimental drug, Shimmer. The children set off to rescue Vander, but Vi told Powder to remain home. Powder disobeyed this order, and seeing that they were in trouble, she set off a bomb, but it accidentally killed the other kids and Vander. Vi berated Power, referring to her as a jinx before seemingly abandoning her. A grief-stricken Powder threw herself at Silco, who took her in as a daughter and renamed her to "Jinx". She became Silco's greatest enforcer, much to the chagrin of the others. However, Jinx was still mentally damaged from the loss of her adopted family, which eventually led to her kidnapping both Vi and Silco, accidentally killing the latter in a manic state. Jinx was comforted by Silco in his final moments, and with that, Powder was truly no more. Jinx was here to stay, unleashing untold mayhem on any civilization she could find.
