- John is the current artist for the cover arts of Death Battle's original fight tracks, having taken the mantle from Luis Cruz since Korra VS Storm.
- John and his OCs have made multiple cameos in Death Battle:
- In Goku Black VS Reverse-Flash, he himself appears as one of the citizens that Goku Black kills at the beginning of the fight. Later on, the civilian Reverse-Flash uses as a body shield before throwing him at Goku Black is an OC of his named Kaito.[1]
- In Bill Cipher VS Discord, one of his OCs named Arbre Ken is petrified by Bill Cipher and put in his throne of petrified ponies.
- In Gojo VS Makima, a heavily pixelated version of this image of him can be seen briefly flashing on-screen alongside other cameo appearances as Makima gets caught in Satoru Gojo's Unlimited Void, as revealed in the storyboards.
