- —Johnny Cage
Johnny Cage (born Jonathan Carlton) is a protagonist from the Mortal Kombat series. He appeared in the 111th episode of Death Battle, Johnny Cage VS Captain Falcon, where he fought against Captain Falcon from the F-Zero series.
History
Jonathan Carlton, also known as Johnny Cage, is a high-profile Hollywood movie star, known for such classic movies as "Ninja Mime" and "Citizen Cage". But when he was in danger of being deemed a complete fraud, Johnny decided to take matters into his own hands. He sought out to participate in the Mortal Kombat tournament, where the forces of Outworld were threatening to invade Earthrealm. While Johnny initially didn't know what he was getting into, he turned out to be more competent than initially thought. After all, he did descend from a Mediterranean warrior cult trained to fight gods, apparently. He eventually married Sonya Blade and had a daughter named Cassie, and despite a few fallouts, Johnny has still managed to come out on top through thick and thin.
