Kenshi Takahashi is a protagonist from the Mortal Kombat series. He appeared in the 49th episode of DBX, Daredevil VS Kenshi, where he fought against Daredevil from Marvel Comics.
History
Kenshi Takahashi was a rogue swordsman of Eurasian heritage who possessed psychokinetic powers. One day, Kenshi encountered the sorcerer Shang Tsung, who convinced Kenshi that a great warrior needed a great sword. Shang Tsung led Kenshi to the location of an ancient and powerful sword known as Sento, and he claimed that the sword would befit Kenshi's power. But as Kenshi unsealed the well wherein the sword laid, he was overwhelmed by souls trapped within it and was permanently blinded; Shang Tsung had used Kenshi's ambitions to absorb more souls and left him to die. However, Sento, which the souls of Kenshi's ancestors manifested in, came to his rescue and guided him out. Now wielding Sento, which had granted him a form of sight, Kenshi would spend several years hunting down Shang Tsung in order to free the souls of his ancestors who had been absorbed by him.
