History
Born with the name of Kratos and having risen through the ranks of the violent Spartans, this bloodthirsty demigod became a respected general in his army, but had to strike a deal with the God of War, Ares, during a battle with the Barbarians to avoid the Spartans' defeat. Ares listened to Kratos and bounded a pair of curved, chained blades to his forearms to physically represent Kratos' servitude to the God of War. However, tragedy would strike when Ares tricked Kratos into killing his wife and daughter, the Spartan cursed with their ashes clinging permanently to his skin. Soon after, Kratos went on a quest of vengeance that resulted in him killing his former master and usurping his position as God of War. But even with his newfound title, Zeus and his fellow Olympians eventually betrayed Kratos in fear of his potential, leading the Ghost of Sparta to a violent quest for vengeance that brought forth untold chaos and the end of countless lives. While he would eventually settle down with a new child of his own, the forces of the world and sins of his past would not be done with him just yet.

- He held the record of the longest gap between a primary combatant's first and second appearance initially, but ironically enough, this record was immediately taken away by Spawn one episode later, Kratos' first opponent.
