The Alpha A.I. Unit, also known as Private Leonard L. Church, is one of the main protagonists of the Red vs. Blue series. He appeared in the 136th episode of Death Battle, Red VS Blue, where he and his teammates fought against the Red Team.
History
Private Leonard L. Church was created as the most powerful artificial intelligence owned by the director of the special ops Project Freelancer. In a desperate attempt to hide this A.I., the director had it hidden among a squad of Blue Simulation Troopers. There, the A.I. would form a personality of its own, forging reluctant bonds with his fellow teammates at Blood Gulch and occasionally fight their appointed enemies, the Red Team. When his commanding officer, Captain Flowers, died of an aspirin overdose, he became the new leader of the team despite his poor aim. Even when he died at the hands of Caboose by accident, his spirit continued to lead the Blue Team. But it wouldn’t be long before remnants of Church's past life would come back to haunt him, leading to him and his new friends to go on many crazy adventures.
