- —Raiden
Lord Raiden is one of the main protagonists of the Mortal Kombat series. He appeared in the 21st episode of Death Battle, Thor VS Raiden, where he fought against Thor Odinson from Marvel Comics.
History
Lord Raiden is the benevolent God of Thunder who protects Earthrealm from the forces of evil. He began such a task at a young age, helping defeat and banish the corrupt Elder God, Shinnok. While he is immortal and formless most of the time, he must take on a corporeal and mortal form to interact with the physical world. When he isn't allowed to interfere with Mortal Kombat tournaments, he recruits other warriors who are as willing to risk their life as much as he is. Regardless, Raiden is a wise leader and cunning strategist, willing to make any sacrifices necessary to achieve victory.
