Interlude
Wiz & Boomstick by Brandon Yates ![]() ![]() |
We cut to Wiz and Boomstick.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Suddenly, the Death Battle Lab's monitor shows an incoming call from Ringmaster.
Boomstick: Hey, it's Marshall.
He answers the call, with Wiz visibly upset.
Ringmaster: Boomstick, bud, you'll never believe this! I found your dad!
Wiz and Boomstick are astonished by what Ringmaster said before a "DEATH BATTLE 150" title card appears on-screen.
Analysis
Wiz and Boomstick meet up with Ringmaster in a forest area.
Ringmaster: Okay, I think your dad's around here somewhere! I got a tip from a guy. Uh, he's wearing red.
Wiz: Wait, his dad, or your guy? Ah, who cares, Boomstick doesn't need this!
Randy Savage suddenly bursts through a brick wall.
Randy Savage: Oh yeah! What you need is to snap into a Slim Jim!
Ringmaster: Macho Man Randy Savage?!
Boomstick notices the red clothes that Randy is wearing.
Boomstick: Dad?
Wiz and Ringmaster: .....WHAT?!
We cut to the analysis.

Wiz: That's- No, Randy Savage never had any children.
Boomstick: Ey, who knows? He had a dynamite career in the wrestling ring and that could bring in all the ladies! My mom definitely woulda gone for that.
Randy Savage: Oh, the Macho Man is the cream, and I'm always risin' to the top!
Wiz: Ugh. Well, for those unaware, Randy Poffo burst into the wrestling scene in 1973 as Randy Savage, the Macho Man. In just a decade, he smashed into the World Wrestling Federation and won a heavyweight championship.
Boomstick: Macho Man? More like Macho King!
Boomstick: He bench-pressed over 300 pounds and ripped himself out of a straitjacket. He's won 70% of all his televised matches thanks to his super move, the Elbow Drop.
Wiz: Except when he's using that same Elbow Drop to, no joke, bring people back from the dead.
Randy Savage: Yeah, when my brother was down for the count, I smacked him back into full fightin' condition. That's just the power an intercontinental heavyweight champ like me brings to the ring, oh yeah!
Boomstick: And he's kicked butt outside the ring, too. He's battled Spider-Man and even Chuck Norris. That's right, he fought the guy whose push-ups pushed the Earth down.[Note 1] No wonder he was powerful enough to destroy entire planets as the intergalactic tyrant, Rasslor.
Wiz: That seems a bit out of character.
Randy Savage: You know I'm thirsty to win, yeah.
We cut back to the forest area, as Kool-Aid Man suddenly bursts in through a brick wall behind everyone.
Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah! Did someone say thirsty?
Wiz: Oh no...
Randy Savage and Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah!
A wave of Kool-Aid washes over the screen as we cut back to the analysis.
Wiz: Please listen closely. This sucralose abomination with no respect for solid structures is more than just a five cent mascot.
Boomstick: Damn right! He's a freakin' superhero! Once upon a time, he was just a simple pitcher with a smiley face, but then the Thirsties attacked, threatening the balance between hydration and drought. Achieving intelligence and mobility unheard of for glassware, only the Kool-Aid Man possesses the power, the skill, and the sheer liquid magnitude to battle this alien force. That's right, the Kool-Aid Man fights to save the world from thirst itself! This is real.
Wiz: Standing six feet tall and weighing 11,000 pounds, goddamn, he never lets a foe get away. Even braving time travel and outer space.
Boomstick: Yup! Even in a vacuum, he's golden. Just like that golden nectar flavor, right? You remember that? Just looked like a bucket of piss-
Wiz: So it's safe to say the Kool-Aid Man is surprisingly powerful. He's super strong and can seemingly break through any wall, be it wood, brick, steel, concrete, or even spaceship hulls. Yet his true power is far more esoteric. He can teleport himself and others in an instant, enlarge to kaiju proportions, and summon walls out of thin air.
Boomstick: But Wiz, let's ask the real question. Is the Kool-Aid Man the glass pitcher or the juice inside? Like, where is his soul?
Wiz: Well, we have seen him exist solely as a pitcher before adding Kool-Aid mix, but officially, he's both, which is important as he can always summon more Kool-Aid.
Boomstick: That's "Kool", I guess, but why would he even need more?
Wiz: Because the Kool-Aid Man is an unexplainable, high-fructose corn syrup eldritch deity that possesses complete omnipotent control over all things Kool-Aid. He can control it telekinetically, use it to create portals to his own Kool-Aid Dimension, launch himself or others fast enough to spin the Moon, and even manipulate matter, such as when he twisted these mountains into Kool-Aid.
Boomstick: Which is how many tons of TNT or whatever?
Wiz: What?
Boomstick: You're the math guy, math it up.
Wiz: But we're not at the lab. The only one there is... (sigh) the IT girl.
We cut to Jocelyn as she makes a tower out of completed Rubik's Cubes. Wiz appears on the lab monitor.
Wiz: Jocelyn!
Jocelyn: Oh!
Startled, she then falls alongside the tower she made.
Wiz: I need you to calc this mountain-
Jocelyn: On it!
DUMMI: Right. Let's not ask me. The actual living computer.
Jocelyn: Done!
DUMMI: Sigh...
We cut back to the analysis.
Jocelyn: Based on their shape, these appear to be stratovolcanoes. To manipulate each to twist at one revolution per two tenths of a second, the Kool-Aid Man would have to be exerting energy equivalent to 497 sextillion joules! For a little perspective, that's only about five times less than the energy output every second by the sun!
Wiz: Which he broke, by the way.
Boomstick: Okay, but when Macho Dad snaps a Slim Jim, he also gets crazy world-shattering powers! Like, he can teleport, shapeshift, and manipulate reality! He can control electricity, smash through any wall, rip your hair off with wind power, and summon tornadoes, lightning, even a stampede of raging bulls! Guh, he's so manly!
Wiz: I didn't exactly expect these, uh... sodium flesh sticks to contain such potent magic.
Jocelyn: Well, however they work, he's eaten so many Slim Jims, he's maintained some of their power permanently! As Rasslor, he defeated the superhero Major Glory with a single punch, who could run 500 laps around the world in two seconds! That would require speeds over 33 times faster than light.
Prelude
Jocelyn: If these two were to fight each other, it would be wild!

Wiz and Boomstick read out an advertisement for BlueChew.
Boomstick: But right now, IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLEEE!!!

Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah?

Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah?!
Randy Savage: OH YEAH!
Oh Yeah! by Therewolf Media ![]() ![]() |
Boomstick: Get 'em, dad!
Both the Macho Man and the Kool-Aid Man begin to lock arms, with Randy being the one achieving the pushback. While still locked in he attempts a punch, which the Kool-Aid Man cockily intercepts as the two glare at each other.
The Macho Man manages to lift his 11,000-pound opponent and throw him forward, knocking him through several trees. However, with a wink, the Kool-Aid Man rewinds time and knocks back Randy Savage feet first in the opposite direction.
Savage is not down yet, however, as he takes a bite out of a Slim Jim and it glows with energy, prompting a thundercloud to strike it and causing an explosion before the Macho Man releases a pent up blast forward, with the Kool-Aid Man countering by creating a shield out of Kool-Aid, which soon evaporates. Afterward, the Kool-Aid Man noticed his opponent has disappeared, before hearing a familiar voice and looking up.
Randy Savage: OHHH YEAHHHH!!!
The Macho Man rockets down at his opponent with a flaming Elbow Drop, causing a fiery explosion with his descent.
Wiz: So... Did you know?
We cut to the analysis.
Wiz: Kool-Aid Man's liquids can raise plants and heal the dead?
Randy Savage: Hey, how'd this grass get so tall?!
Boomstick: Yeah, well, Macho Dad can turn into a freakin' dragon!
Wiz: Isn't that just a Skyrim mod?
Boomstick: Not that big of a stretch; he can turn his fingers into snakes!
Kool-Aid Man: Oh no, snakes!
Wiz: Right...
Boomstick: You're just jealous of how awesome my dad is!
Wiz: He's not- Ugh, look, Kool-Aid Man is like nothing he's ever fought. That sugary monster once turned the entire world into Kool-Aid.
We cut back to Wiz, Boomstick, and Ringmaster.
Ringmaster: C'mon, bud! Your dad's got this!
Boomstick: OH, YEAH!
Wiz: Ah, forget it!
Wiz leaves Boomstick and Ringmaster alone, as the scene cuts back to the fight. Randy uses a nearby tree to jump towards his opponent, while the Kool-Aid Man, still on ground level, does the same, landing a poweful kick on the Macho Man, the impact sending both of them backwards. Macho Man grabs a Slim Jim, and the Kool-Aid Man manipulates the juice inside him to propel himself towards his foe, with the two reaching each other in a manner very reminiscent to The Creation of Adam. But as Kool-Aid Man's finger reaches the Slim Jim, it suddenly turns into a purple blob and falls towards the ground, with both fighters following soon after. Indeed, the blob was actually a portal to the fabled Kool-Aid Dimension.
Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah!
Unfazed by the new location, Macho Man delivers a series of powerful punches on his foe, who simply fixes himself before using a nearby pack of Kool-Aid to trap Randy, before controlling it to place the Macho Man inside his pitcher, as they reach the exit of the dimension.
Kool-Aid Man: Yeahhhh!
As they leave, they find themselves back in the skies of the forest, with Kool-Aid Man's descent to the ground resulting in a massive wave of water and Kool-Aid exploding around him.
Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah!
Randy taps at Kool-Aid Man's pitcher, seemingly completely trapped inside. However, to the shock of the Kool-Aid Man, the Macho Man began to drink all of the liquid inside, all while charging up another attack, to the absolute terror of his adversary.
Kool-Aid Man: OOOOOH NOOOOO!
Macho Man punches the Kool-Aid Man away, with a fiery explosion appearing behind him as several Slim Jims play as trumpets to celebrate. The strike's power had severed part of the pitcher, but left the Kool-Aid Man still alive.
Randy Savage: The cream always rises to the top!
Randy says just that, as he takes a coffee creamer packet, and uses it as a crown.
Randy Savage: Yeah...
Kool-Aid Man: Oh... yeah...
Raising his hand, the Kool-Aid Man telekinetically manipulates the Kool-Aid Randy already drank, causing his chest to bubble before erupting in a rainbow geyser of sugar and food coloring, bursting it open from the inside and causing Randy to scream in agony. Boomstick sees it all, and runs towards his fallen "father".
Boomstick: Dad! NOOOOOO!
Randy Savage: I ain't your daddy, kid. Hrng, blergh...
Ringmaster: Wait a sec. If he's not your dad, but your dad is here, and in red, then that can only mean...
The Kool-Aid Man fixes himself while filling himself with Kool-Aid, then glances at Boomstick.
Boomstick: Oh my god.......
Results
We cut to Jocelyn and DUMMI.
Jocelyn: Huh. That was... different.
We cut to the post-analysis.
Jocelyn: Macho Man's skillset was beyond expectation. But, well... The Kool-Aid Man could destroy the sun!
DUMMI: Greater than even Rasslor's theoretical planetary feats. If you wanna count those. These rules change all the time anyway.
Jocelyn: I can't tell if you're being sarcastic...
DUMMI: Good.
Jocelyn: Macho Man was faster, being over 30 times lightspeed. Even the Kool-Aid launch to the moon was only a fraction faster than light.
DUMMI: But Randy could not be Savage enough to hurt him.
Jocelyn: Kool-Aid Man possesses full control over all Kool-Aid. It was important to confirm that his existence is both of the pitcher and the liquid inside, as that means so long as Kool-Aid exists nearby, the Kool-Aid Man has life! And, thanks to his magic, he could always summon more! I suppose Macho Man didn't have the thirst to win.
DUMMI: Was that a joke?
Jocelyn: Ugh, do you have an off switch?
DUMMI: Yes. Anyway, the winner is the Kool-Aid Man. Obviously.
We cut to the "Winner" card.
Epilogue
We cut back to the hosts, as Wiz returns to a distraught Boomstick.
Boomstick: Wiz, it's terrible! I'm the spawn of sugar and food coloring!
Wiz: Okay... I found your tip guy.
Deadpool: IIIIIIIt's Deadpool! Aaaah, jazz hands!
Boomstick: WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!
Deadpool: Hey, I'm wearing red just like I promised. You wouldn't have come if you knew it was me, right? After all, I'm only the second most famous Vancouver Deadpool. Damn that himbo...
Ringmaster: Um, okay, where's his dad?
Deadpool: Oh, no idea. But my man Macho knows, so you can just ask...
He sees Randy's corpse.
Deadpool: Oh......
Kool-Aid Man walks up and drips a drop of Kool-Aid on Macho Man's tongue, causing him to glow and restoring his life.
Randy Savage: OH YEAH! Same time next week?
Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah.
The opponents fist bump each other. An increasingly impatient Boomstick steps into the frame.
Boomstick: One. Last. Time. Where... is my father?!
Wiz, Boomstick and Ringmaster walk towards a trailer. Boomstick nervously knocks the door, only to be met by a shotgun blast from a relative of his.
Mama Boomstick: Shit, thought it was them goddamn squirrels! Is that you, Boomie?
Boomstick: Mama?!
Mama Boomstick goes ahead and hugs her son.
Boomstick: I-I thought Dad was here...
Mama Boomstick: So did I, Junebug... So did I... But I reckon I learned somethin'. You can't worry much about what you hope for, 'cause then you might miss the way things turn out. Like how you got a couple of real good friends here helpin' ya.
Boomstick glances at his friends, with Wiz looking nervous while Ringmaster gives two thumbs up.
Boomstick: I guess... You can't always get what you want...
Mama Boomstick: But you just might find what you need.
Boomstick wipes a tear from his eye.
Boomstick: Thanks, Mama.
Mama Boomstick: Now, GET OFF MY LAWN, BOY! THOSE GOD DAMN SQUIRRELS AIN'T GONNA HUNT THEMSELVES!
Boomstick and his mother laugh as he and his friends run away from her shotgun. Afterward, the screen pans to the side to reveal a familiar, red-clad soldier.
Sarge: Wait a Davey Crockett minute, that boy sounds familiar...
The camera pans upward, a constellation of Macho Man and Kool-Aid Man forming in the night sky.
Sarge: Great Zeus's juices! Did I have a... son?
We cut to the credits.
Original Track
Oh Yeah! by Therewolf Media ![]() ![]() |

Composition
The track for this fight is "Oh Yeah!" by Therewolf Media. It is a high-energy rock track, reflecting on the enthusiastic personalities of the two combatants and the random absurdity of both the fight and their abilities. A small part of the track near the ending uses a piece of Macho Man's entrance theme, presumably as a way of paying respect to the deceased Randy Savage.
Title
The title is an obvious reference to both combatants' shared catchphrase: "Oh yeah!"
Cover Art
The cover art done by Luis Cruz depicts a pitcher of red Kool-Aid with Randy Savage's arm holding a flaming Slim Jim emerging from the drink bursting through a brick wall, leaving a cloud of dust behind it and sending several bricks flying.
Trivia
Production
- The core connections between Randy Savage and Kool-Aid Man are that they both were/are advertising mascots for a snack food in television commercials (Slim Jim and Kool-Aid, respectively) in which they often destructively entered buildings through walls and ceilings, have the catchphrase "Oh yeah!", and are known for their large, smiling appearance. In addition:
- Both also came into being in the 1950s (Randy was born in 1952, while the first Kool-Aid Man commercial aired in 1954) and donned their most recognizable personas in the 1970s (Randy made his wrestling debut in 1973, while Kool-Aid Man gained his signature appearance and mannerisms in 1974).
- Both possess odd ways of resurrecting people (Randy can do so by hitting someone with his elbow drop, while Kool-Aid Man can use his Kool-Aid to give/restore life to anything).
- Both have also appeared in official Marvel media (Randy Savage played Bonesaw in the 2002 Spider-Man film, while Kool-Aid Man had a comic series produced by Marvel).
- Though they have already existed for years as hosts of their respective spin-off shows, this is the first episode in which Ringmaster and Jocelyn the Intern have appeared in Death Battle. The two would later become occasional co-hosts, starting in Season 9, though Ringmaster has yet to return as a co-host since Harley Quinn VS Jinx.
- As this episode was made to be the culmination of the infamous "Boomstick's dad" running gag, no jokes about such have been made since its release (with the exception of a small nod to its culmination in Popeye's analysis preview for Saitama VS Popeye, which was cut from the final episode), despite their high frequency prior to it.
- Wiz and Boomstick's mid-fight analysis was likely done to reflect on real-life wrestling commentary.
- This is the first (and so far only) episode to lack Wiz's pre-fight catchphrase.
Easter Eggs
- The forest area where most of the episode takes place is taken directly from Camp Camp.
- The shot of Macho Man's Slim Jim and Kool-Aid Man's finger touching is based on The Creation of Adam.
- Before Randy dies, he says "Hrng, blergh!" This is a common catchphrase from the Red vs. Blue series, alluding to how he knows Boomstick's real father is Sarge.
- In the ending, Sarge makes a comment on how Boomstick's voice sounds familiar after hearing him from a distance. This could be a call-back to the two having previously met in Meta VS Carolina.
- The two combatants being displayed as a constellation at the end of the animation is a call-back to Chuck Norris VS Segata Sanshiro, where a constellation of the two's everlasting battle is formed at the end of the fight.
- The constellation also makes cameos in future episodes:
- In Harley Quinn VS Jinx, during the roller coaster scene, before it speeds up, the constellation appears at the left side of the Moon.
- In Trunks VS Silver, the constellation can be seen at the top left side of the screen after Trunks sends Silver flying toward the Moon.
- In Stitch VS Rocket Raccoon, the constellation can be seen near the left side of the volcano of Space Hawaii.
- In Martian Manhunter VS Silver Surfer and Rick Sanchez VS The Doctor, the constellation can be seen next to Space Hawaii in roughly the same location it was seen in Stitch VS Rocket Raccoon.
- In Goku VS Superman (2023), the constellation can be seen in the background three times during the fight:
- The first time is when Goku and Superman go into space for the first time, most notably when Goku prepares his one-inch punch on Superman and during the second and third hits that Superman lands on Goku using his full power, though the constellation isn't seen in full in the aforementioned shots.
- The second time is when Superman flies through several yellow stars to recharge his energy after using his Super Flare.
- The final time is when it reappears for a split second as Superman makes his return trip to Earth to clash with Goku one last time.
- In Galactus VS Unicron, the constellation can be seen in the background when Galactus and Unicron are exchanging physical blows on each other and the camera zooms out.
- The constellation also makes cameos in future episodes:
