Maka Albarn is the main protagonist of the Soul Eater series. She will appear in an upcoming episode of Death Battle, Ruby VS Maka, where she and Soul Evans will fight against Ruby Rose from the RWBY series.

History

Maka is the daughter of Spirit Albarn, who is the death scythe demon weapon partner of the almighty Lord Death himself, and his wife. She initially grew up in a happy family, but when her mother found out that Spirit was cheating on her, she divorced him. Resentful of her father, Maka enrolled into Death Weapon Meister Academy to become a weapon meister, hoping to create a death scythe more powerful than her father. This led her to meeting Soul Evans, a demon scythe demon weapon. The two got along well, with Maka feeling that Soul was the first boy she could trust, and from then on, the two became not just a formidable weapon-meister duo, but also close friends.
