Exhibition
It's a sunlit day in the Mushroom Kingdom, the perfect setting for a friendly game of tennis. Mario and Luigi face off on the court, while Princess Peach, Toadsworth, and Yoshi cheer from the sidelines. As the match heats up, Mario leaps into the air, ready to deliver a powerful return. Unfortunately, the tennis ball veers off course, smacking him squarely in the face. He stumbles to the ground, momentarily dazed, while Luigi seizes the opportunity to celebrate his unexpected victory with a triumphant cheer. Mario slowly picks himself up, recalling the humbling moment. Determination now etched on his face, Mario leaps high into the air.
Mario plummets toward his brother, ready to deliver a powerful stomp. But Luigi, now looking quite serious himself, dodges the attack and pulls out a Cape Feather, transforming into his caped form. With a sudden burst of speed, Luigi flies toward Mario, who is now charging his fist with a fiery aura. The brothers' punches collide, generating a shockwave that cracks the tennis court beneath them. Seizing the moment, Mario attempts a swift kick, but Luigi dodges and counters with a mighty hammer swing, sending Mario hurtling toward the distant mountains. Undeterred, Mario picks himself up, watching as Luigi soars toward him. In a flash, Mario absorbs a Super Leaf, gaining raccoon-like features, and dodges Luigi's attack. The battle intensifies as both brothers leap into the air, hammers drawn, swinging at each other with rapid, dizzying speed. They land back on the ground in a flurry of blows. Luigi strikes first, but Mario evades and throws his hammer, catching Luigi off guard. Mario then launches into a series of uppercuts, culminating in a powerful Spin Jump that sends Luigi soaring high into the sky, sending him even further with a mighty fiery explosion.
Mario leaps upwards with such force that he leaves a crater in the ground. As he ascends, Luigi harnesses his Thunderhand ability, surrounding himself with electricity. In a flash, Mario is dazed by the electric shock, and Luigi capitalizes on the moment, delivering a powerful kick that sends Mario flying. A flurry of punches and kicks ensues, the brothers locked in a fierce and relentless exchange. Mario manages to grab Luigi and, with a mighty kick, hurls him across the landscape. Luigi crashes into a nearby castle, colliding with the wall. Meanwhile, Mario, now airborne, lunges mid-air to deliver another kick.
The scene shifts abruptly to cheerful birthday music. Bowser's minions are gathered, celebrating. A Goomba carries a cake towards Bowser Jr. The festivities are suddenly interrupted when Luigi crashes into the castle, landing flat on his face right on top of the cake, ruining it completely. He quickly picks himself up, ready to resume the fight, as Mario lands in front of him. Before the brothers can clash again, Bowser lands beside them with a thunderous roar, furious at the disruption and the destruction of his son's birthday cake. Charging his fist with rage, Bowser sends both Mario and Luigi flying out of the castle with a single, powerful punch.
