Hey, I just wanted to apologize for the whole Winners/Losers bar situation.
The most recent posts made have been disheartening, as someone who's mostly been watching from the sidelines when it comes to the whole ordeal. The way things were handled weren't at all okay to me. The way others were villifying and disrespecting you was disappointing, to say the least.
Personal bias against fictional characters wasn't too big of an issue to me. Sure, it can disrupt the flow of things, but a lot of the stuff you did never directly inhibited a lot of the writing. So I don't think banning you for something as menial as that is justifiable. Even the exact response that resulted in your 'ban' wasn't even that bad to me - I actually found it kinda funny. The responses that came afterwards... were not, at all.
The main reason I'm sending this to begin with is because of the response made afterwards. It was downright insulting and, quite frankly, I was shocked to see the kind of disrespect that was directed towards you. Making fun of fictional characters is one thing, doing the same - if not worse - to someone IRL is just bullying, plain and simple. It really crossed the line for me, and I wasn't going to just sit and watch that whole thing go down without saying something.
I'm not really sure what else to say regarding this, I'm not really the best when it comes to this kind of serious stuff. I guess, just... sorry all that had to go down, and I hope this doesn't put too much of a dampener on your New Year. I'm sure this definitely wasn't the best way to start a new decade off.
Whether you stick around or not, I wish you the best.
Thank you. Those users have enslaved themselves to order, and fail to see the comedic potential that those treads have. They could have made one hilarious scenario after another instead of restraining themselves. They even think that those toys they play with have feelings. Toys are toys. Don't get me wrong, there should be accountablity for bullying and harrassment, but for simply seeing something in a challenging light. I was once kicked of the Mortal Kombat wiki for liking a character one of the admins hated. He bullied me for it, and when I stood up for myself, he banned me, accusing me of refusing to stop arguing... when he had started it. I once thought an admin's power is too prone to corruption. But I see that corruption online is worse than I thought.
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that Deadpool had left the bar to fight his match against the Mask wouldn't come back until Wednesday or later that day after his visit in the Loser's Bar depending on his fate as he quoted before he left.
Wanted to let you know just incase you didn't get the message.
Another thing to remind you is that we have also come up with the ideas after the fight was over just to let you know.
Another thing I important want to say is that I don't like of how you wrote when the combatants gave a dissapointed look at Deadpool and suddenly gets cut to a great pain like he was beaten up by then, don't ever write that type of action again.
Even tho Deadpool has a healling factor, regenerative characters have feelings too you know.
So, I gotten a complaint earlier today about you from Mav and Pizza on my wall about the bars in the following;
1: Bias against Aang, Toph and Lucy.
2. Making Chaos in the bars
3: Giving characters the ability to break the 4th wall
4: Ghost Rider giving those first three characters the Penance Stare
and Lastly: Bias against Discord and Pinkie Pie
Now this is a place of being respectful to other users and Mav and Pizza told you many times to stop doing those shenanigans in the Winner's/Loser's Bars and if you continue after this message was handed out to you, I can pretty much tell the admins about it and they would most likely tell you the same thing.
The Winner's/Loser's Bar is more than being funny. It's about telling a story with good ideas with all the Winners and Losers of their fights and their scenarios the writers could come up with. And the idea of giving penance stares to everyone even to some heroes, mistreating Aang because of some misuse of some treatment, and making chaos whenever you want like the Joker firing nukes just makes me sick to my stomach.
Since the next guard would be either Namor or Pit in the Loser's Bar, I was thinking for the guard of the Winner's Bar would either be Aang, Mitsuru Kirijo, Nightwing, Raven or Android 18. What do you think?
WBH-LM27 and Blue Midnight04 thought Nightwing would work while MexicanJesus69 thinks Aang would work because he had an idea for an arc about him not knowing how to handle situations or something like that.
Early in the Winner's Bar, you showed your bias towards Avatar and Elfen Lied and so far, you haven't been showing your bias towards them which I appreciate. For Avatar, I get it. You don't like how they misused the Martial Arts treatment but I don't understand why you hate Elfen Lied. Was there a reason for the hate of Lucy? Was Death Battle to blame or do you hate the series to begin with?
I hate the series. The Diclonious is an allegory for the hardcore psychopath, and the show manipulates your emotions to give you a misguided sense of sympathy, to make them seem misunderstood (they are not). It is essentially psychopath propaganda and I suspect the author is on the spectrum.
Psychopaths have a deranged sense of entitlement. Shove them once, and they will think it's justice to gouge out your eyes (3 kids bully Lucy, all of humanity deserves to die).
If you have something they don't, it's unfair and they have the right to take it. Lucy murders countless families because she wants the comfort of a warm shower, but the fanboys will state a shower is necessary for "survival".
Psychopaths have social needs, but betray them and 50 years of loyalty can go out the window instantly (Kohta lied about one tiny thing after 3 days of kindness, she thinks it's fair to murder his family as punishment).
Psychopaths are narcisistic. Lucy views humans as insects, and sees herself as a hero in her story, and humans as evil. But this lie falls apart when she shows enjoyment in torturing Nana to death (same race as her) just because Nana insulted her ego.
Psychopaths have no shame, and only show regret when they get caught. She only apologizes to Kohta ONLY because it drove him away. She thought that by killing his family she could have him all to herself. But she didn't understand that normal humans don't "get over" death instantly like she does. Her apology is insincere since she thinks of his family as belongings she stole, but she doesn't regret the murders themselves. She has killed countless families after that event and swears to murder whatever family Kurama has left. Does that sound sincere to you? Humans are only pawns to her.
In the bonus OVA episode, Nana is about to kill Lucy while she's passed out. But to manipulate the audience into wanting her to live -- we see a flashback of her crying about the death of one girl (when she has already murdered other girls in the hundreds). Psychopaths can turn tears on like a sprinkler when it benefits them. Quick note on Nana, she seems to be a reverse-psychopath, a rare case of Diclonius that can actually feel empathy (she's too pure to kill Lucy even though it's the right thing to do). Thematically, it would have been a superior story if Nana was the main character, give her a kind of Hellboy dynamic.
I could go on forever. The point is, while things like Batman teaches you to understand psychopaths to help you escape their abuse, Elfen Lied teaches you to let your guard down and become a Harley Quinn. Harley's and Joker's "romance" is a quationary tale, while Lucy and and Kohta is manipulating the audience into becoming the victim.
The truth is, psychopaths are like wild animals.(And I feel ashamed to compare them to wild animals since I love wild animals) You can tame a tiger or a bear, but leave it hungry for a while and it WILL kill you, even if you raised it.
The Batman TAS episode "Mad Love" does the opposite of what Elfen Lied does. Both are stories about a character experiencing Stockholm Syndrome for a psychopath, but Elfen Lied says "trust them" while Batman says "don't fall for it". What's really the difference between Lucy and Joker here:
"You know... my father used to beat me up pretty badly. Every time I got out of line, BAM! Or sometimes I'd just be just sitting there, doing nothing. POW! Pops tended to favor the grape, you see. There was only one time I ever saw Dad really happy. He took me to the circus when I was seven. Oh, I still remember the clowns running around, dropping their pants. My old man laughed so hard, I thought he'd bust a gut! So the very next night, I ran up to meet him with his best Sunday pants around my ankles. "Hi, Dad! Look at me!" ZOOP! I took a big pratfall, and tore the crotch clean out of his pants!........ (Harley laughs) And then he broke my nose. (Harley is shocked) But hey, that's the downside of comedy. You're always taking shots from folks who just don't get the joke. Like my dad... Or Batman." Harley's response?
"It soon became clear to me the Joker, so often described as a raving, homicidal madman... was actually a tortured soul crying out for love and acceptance. A lost, injured child trying to make the world laugh at his antics. And there, as always, was the self-righteous Batman. Determined to make life miserable for my angel. Yes, I admit it. As unprofessional as it sounds, I had fallen in love with my patient. Pretty crazy, huh?"
But Elfen Lied takes that lesson, and reverses it, portraying it as a good thing. But the truth is, real life criminals and mass murderers tell stories similar to the orphanage incident and joker's stories to manipulate cops, parole officers, judges, juries, and criminal psychiatrists into releasing them... only for them to continue to murder and steal. Lucy is not a misunderstood soul and the Diclonious are not tragic outcasts. Lucy is a self aware and self rightious monster, and the Diclonious are abominations who's only instinct is to destroy everyone and everything they touch. Why does she deserve to be reformed and reincarnated? When less dangerous villains over the years have gotten fates worse than death?
Sorry about what Darkseid said in the roleplay. I just want to talk to you. Its just you're choice of dialogue was... bugging me to say the least. I know 1pizza877 and I told you about the earlier times but there are some that still bug me. First, there was the aftermath of Aang VS Edward. 1pizza877 told you to at least tone down your hate, but what did you do? You made a line of dialogue where Edward apologizes to you and you would make a scenario where Aang loses. That's not okay. Then there was the Ghost Rider stare, Lucy was understandable but Ghost Rider using the Penace Stare on Aang was out of the line. Look, i'm not criticizing you, you are not in trouble, you are not banned. I'm just letting you know this so someday it won't happen again.
I am sorry about the Thanos snapping the writers thing. I guess I was stressed and worried that your bias toward Edward is exposed and I didn't want you to make all the combatants bias against Aang. If you don't like the match, that's fine, but don't show your hate in the Winner's and Loser's Bar.
