- —Mileena
Empress Mileena is a protagonist[Note 1] from the Mortal Kombat series. She appeared in the 55th episode of DBX, Juri VS Mileena, where she fought against Juri Han from the Street Fighter series.
History
Mileena was once nothing more than a hybrid clone of Kitana mixed with Tarkatan DNA, designed by Shang Tsung in his flesh pits by the orders of Emperor Shao Kahn to create a better daughter. This Mileena stopped at nothing to claim the throne that she believed was rightfully hers. But that all changed in Liu Kang's New Era. Here, she was born as the eldest daughter of Emperor Jerrod and Empress Sindel, making her Kitana's legitimate twin sister and heiress of Outworld. However, tragedy struck when Mileena decided to sneak out of the palace and got infected with the lethal Tarkat disease. The disease would turn her into a fang-mouthed beast craving nothing but flesh if Shang Tsung had not found a temporary cure that allows her to turn back into her Edenian self. Despite this disease, she and Kitana are working their hardest to ensure that Mileena will become the best empress Outworld has ever seen.
