- —Mr. Fantastic
Doctor Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, is a superhero from Marvel Comics. He appeared in the 48th episode of DBX, Luffy VS Mr. Fantastic, where he fought against Monkey D. Luffy from the One Piece series.
History
Even from an early age, Reed Richards was considered a prodigy in the maths and sciences, starting college at 14 and attending Harvard University and M.I.T. By the time he was an adult, he already had four degrees in fields such as engineering, math, and physics. When he was working towards yet another degree, he met his roommate and future best friend, Ben Grimm, along with Susan Storm, whom he fell in love with. Having always wanted to fly a starship, he eventually got the chance to do so after being given funds from his father. Together with Ben, Sue, and her younger brother Johnny, they took flight. Everything went smoothly at first until they flew through a cosmic ray storm which forced them to land back on Earth. Reed and his friends would soon discover that the rays had given them powers, with Reed being able to stretch his limbs and convert his body into a highly malleable state. Deciding to use these powers for good, the four joined together to form the Fantastic Four, with Reed being appointed the leader as Mr. Fantastic, leading the team with his elastic body and brilliant brains.
