Obito Uchiha, also known as Tobi, is one of the main antagonists of the Naruto series. He appeared in the 176th episode of Death Battle, Darth Vader VS Obito Uchiha, where he fought against Darth Vader from the Star Wars series.
History
A shinobi hailing from the Hidden Leaf Village, Obito Uchiha was looked down upon by the members of his own clan for his limited abilities. Despite this, Obito had a heart of gold and persevered. After graduating from the Ninja Academy, he was placed on Team Minato with his rival Kakashi Hatake and his crush Rin Nohara, the three of them training under their sensei, Minato Namikaze. Eventually being enlisted in the Third Shinobi World War, Obito and Kakashi would embark on a mission to save Rin, who had been captured by enemy forces.
However, during the mission, Obito sacrificed himself to save Kakashi from a surprise attack and, in his supposed dying moments, gifted him one of his Sharingan eyes before supposedly dying. However, to his surprise, he was found and resuscitated by Madara Uchiha, the Hidden Leaf's original co-founder. Madara sought to make Obito his devout emissary in helping him "save" the world, and crafted the wounded Uchiha a new body. The boy would not be easily swayed, however, so Madara tricked Obito into witnessing Rin's accidental death at the hands of Kakashi. And with that, his spirit was broken, falling deep into his own clan's Curse of Hatred. By giving in to his pain and suffering, Obito's goals became in-line with that of his new master's: to create a new world, devoid of the atrocities of war.
