- —Paul Phoenix
Paul Phoenix is a protagonist from the Tekken series. He appeared in the 21st episode of DBX, Guile VS Paul Phoenix, where he fought against Guile from the Street Fighter series.
History
Paul Phoenix is a hot-headed, overconfident, and aggressive fighter. His battle-spirit was first kindled by watching Willie Williams as a child. Something of a drifter, Paul had no real career, and instead made money by street-fighting and taking occasional work as a bouncer while he pursued his real passion: proving himself to be the strongest fighter in the universe. Paul trained with the likes of Marshall Law and Lee Chaolan, and remained undefeated in battle until he fought Kazuya Mishima to a draw.
Ever since that day, he's wanted the chance to battle Kazuya again and saw that opportunity when he heard of the King of Iron Fist Tournament. During the tournament, while he even managed to beat an intelligent fighting bear, he was unable to defeat Kazuya. Though he continues to strive towards his goal of defeating the Mishima heir, his chances of challenging him in a rematch are consistently thwarted due to him constantly getting into fights with others, mainly... more bears. Paul has been through a lot throughout his fighting career, but no matter how many times he falls, he'll always get back up to prove he is the strongest fighter there is.
