- —Quicksilver
Pietro Django Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, is an anti-hero from Marvel Comics. He appeared in the 61st episode of Death Battle, Flash VS Quicksilver, where he fought against The Flash from DC Comics.
History
Pietro Maximoff was kidnapped from Serbia and brought to Wundagore Mountain, base of Herbert Wyndham, the High Evolutionary. For years, he and his twin sister, Wanda, believed that they were the children of a Romani couple. Wyndham supposedly abducted the twins when they were babies, experimented on them, and after becoming disgusted with the results, he returned them to Wundagore, disguised as regular mutants. As adolescents, Pietro and Wanda discovered that they had manifested mutant abilities, and were later cast out of their home. He and Wanda were then taken in by mutant overlord Magneto, who would give him the codename "Quicksilver" because of his phenomenal speed. But after some time and disagreeing with Magneto's ruthless approach, the twins left him and joined the super-heroic Avengers instead. Though a regular member, Quicksilver’s loyalties would shift often, resulting in him teaming up with superheroes and supervillains alike. But no matter where his allegiance lies, he is a mutant you will not see coming.
