- —Raiden
Jack, also known as Raiden, is one of the main protagonists of the Metal Gear series. He appeared in the 52nd episode of Death Battle, Wolverine VS Raiden, where he fought against Wolverine from Marvel Comics. He returned for a Bonus episode, Excalibur VS Raiden, where he fought against Excalibur and The Lotus from the Warframe series.
History
Jack was once a young boy born in the 1980's, taken from the streets of Liberia and raised by the mysterious Solidus Snake. He was trained to be a soldier, and became a military veteran and ruthless killer before he even hit puberty. His initial objective was to rescue several hostages from a terrorist group known as the Sons of Liberty, until he discovered that the Patriots, the very people who found and reared him, have been deceiving him and controlling his actions. Jack would then team up with fellow soldier Solid Snake to take his former comrades down. His body was later heavily modified after he was captured due to his anti-Patriot activities, the trauma of various events making Jack believe his only place is on the battlefield. He gained cybernetic augmentations to various parts of his body, becoming a cyborg soldier capable of superhuman feats and mass-slaughter. Long gone was the boy named "Jack" and the cyborg warrior named "Raiden" was born.
