- —Raven to Trigon
Rachel Roth, also known as Raven, is a superheroine from DC Comics. She appeared in the 89th episode of Death Battle, Raven VS Twilight Sparkle, where she fought against Twilight Sparkle from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. She returned for the 177th episode, Phoenix VS Raven, where she fought against Jean Grey from Marvel Comics.
History
Rachel Roth was born in the pacifistic dimension of Azarath to a common woman and the demon overlord, Trigon. She grew up a cursed child, and was taught to control her emotions in order to suppress and control her inherited demonic powers. However, when she turned eighteen, Rachel's powers within her soul awakened in the form of a great, dark raven, resulting in the return of her father and the death of her mother. Vowing to stop her father at any and all costs, she traveled to Trigon's next target: Earth, where she adopted a new identity as the superhero, "Raven". She became a founding member of the Teen Titans, hoping that with her help, they would be strong enough to topple him. Though her father has been stopped on more than one occasion, Raven still fears that the next new threat may come from within the depths of her own soul.
