Roronoa Zoro is one of the main protagonists of the One Piece series. He appeared in the 70th episode of Death Battle, Zoro VS Erza, where he fought against Erza Scarlet from the Fairy Tail series.
He also appeared in the 17th episode of DBX, Kenshin VS Zoro, where he fought against Kenshin Himura from the Rurouni Kenshin series
History
Growing up in the East Blue, Roronoa Zoro trained as a swordsman at a very young age at the Shimotsuki Village dojo, where he gained experience in the way of the sword. His dream was to be the strongest swordsman in the world alongside his childhood friend, Kuina. After her unfortunate and unexpected death, Zoro swore to become the strongest for both of them and inherited her katana, carrying it all the way to adulthood and creating his signature "Three Sword Style", which had him use three swords at once. Acting as a wandering warrior and bounty hunter, Zoro's main goal was to find and defeat Dracule "Hawk-Eye" Mihawk, current title holder of the world's best swordsman. But he was eventually captured by the Marines, and seemed doomed to die until he was found and rescued by Monkey D. Luffy, offering him a place as a combatant of the Straw Hat Pirates. With newfound goals and devotion to his new crew, Zoro would become one of the crew's best fighters, and his goal of being the best may not be far off.
