- —Ryu
Ryu is the main protagonist of the Street Fighter series. He appeared in the 38th episode of Death Battle, Ryu VS Scorpion, where he fought against Scorpion from the Mortal Kombat series. He returned for the 95th episode, Ryu VS Jin, where he fought against Jin Kazama from the Tekken series.
History
Orphaned at a young age and left with no memory of his parents, Ryu was found and raised by the martial artist master Gouken. Throughout most of his life, Ryu lived at Gouken's dojo, training in the art of the Ansatsuken alongside his rival and best friend, Ken Masters. When Ryu came of age, he dedicated his life to martial arts and improving himself. Ryu then left the dojo and wanders the globe in search of challenges and opponents who will test his strength and allow him to improve his own skill, whilst also being caught up in situations that force him into saving the world and struggling with the inner darkness of the Satsui No Hado within his own soul.
