Sage is an antagonist from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She appeared in the 190th episode of Death Battle, Bowser VS Eggman, where she, Doctor Eggman, and the rest of his army fought against Bowser and his Koopa Troop from the Super Mario series.
History
Sage was originally just an advanced artificial intelligence created by Doctor Eggman to help him uncover the secrets of the Starfall Islands in yet another attempt at global domination. But in an unexpected turn of events, Sage quickly integrated with the islands' ancient systems, which gave her a new humanoid form, sentience, and control over the Cyber Space, which serves as a link to another dimension. Eggman became trapped in the Cyber Space, and Sage did whatever she could to save him, while also becoming more aware of the Ancients and an ancient threat that was poised to return. As Sage continued to evolve, she developed a deep, almost familial bond with Eggman, viewing him as a father figure. This emotional connection was a first for one of Eggman's creations, as he typically treats his robots as tools rather than companions. With the help of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, they were able to defeat the ancient evil and save the world. Sage is perhaps Eggman's greatest success yet, for he found in her more than just another weapon; he had found a daughter.
