Season 5 is the fifth season of Death Battle. It premiered on February 7th, 2018, and concluded on December 19th, 2018. It consisted of 16 episodes.
With the exception of a select few, all episodes this season were in the top ten percent of most requested fights on the official Death Battle suggestion form.
Changes
- "Invader" theme replaced by a new theme by Brandon Yates, "Wiz and Boomstick".
- Custom fight tracks now play during the post-analyses in addition to the fights. This was previously tested in the previous season's Batman Beyond VS Spider-Man 2099.
- Wiz and Boomstick physically appear on-screen, starting with Mario VS Sonic (2018).
