Shoto Todoroki is one of the main protagonists of the My Hero Academia series. He appeared in the 131st episode of Death Battle, Zuko VS Shoto Todoroki, where he fought against Zuko from the Avatar: The Last Airbender series.
History
Shoto Todoroki was born the youngest son to Japan's Number Two hero, Enji Todoroki, also known as Endeavor, who possessed the Hellflame Quirk and had an obsession with surpassing All Might, the Number One hero. It got to the point where Endeavor had forced a Quirk Marriage upon Rei Todoroki, who had the Frost Quirk, in order to conceive a child strong enough to surpass All Might. None of Endeavor's children were able to live up to this standard, until Shoto was born and became known as his "masterpiece".
At such a young age, Todoroki was subjected to brutal training, with both him and his mother suffering abuse from Enji. This resulted in Rei becoming mentally unstable and pouring a kettle of boiling water at him because he reminded her too much of her husband, the injury leaving a burn scar across his left eye. Despite having the ideal Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk Endeavor was looking for, Todoroki refused to use the fire abilities he had inherited from his father in order to spite him. Despite his rough upbringing, he eventually became a student at U.A. High School, where during a match at the U.A. Sports Festival against Izuku Midoriya, he was taught by his opponent that his powers are his own, not his father's, leading him to recall the true reason he wanted to become a hero in the first place. Now, Todoroki aims to be a hero in his own right and is removed from the shadow of his father, who would soon become inspired by his son.
