Queen Sindel is a protagonist from the Mortal Kombat series. She appeared in the 121st episode of Death Battle, Black Canary VS Sindel, where she fought against Black Canary from DC Comics.
History
Sindel was once the ruler of the realm of Edenia, which, for eons, existed in peace and prosperity. That all ended, however, when the evil Shao Kahn invaded the realm and bested its champions in a Mortal Kombat tournament, thus granting him the throne. Sindel became Kahn's unwilling bride and queen of Outworld, with him later murdering her husband, King Jerrod, and adopting her daughter, Princess Kitana, to become his own. After witnessing Kahn's violent tendencies, Sindel sacrificed herself to create a barrier to protect Earthrealm, Kahn's next target. Kahn, however, was able to break the spell after 10,000 years by reviving and brainwashing the long-dead Sindel, ensuring her undying servitude and transforming her into one of the deadliest threats to Earthrealm's defenders in the process.
