Soul "Eater" Evans is one of the main protagonists of the Soul Eater series. He will appear in an upcoming episode of Death Battle, Ruby VS Maka, where he and Maka Albarn will fight against Ruby Rose from the RWBY series.
History
Soul was born into a family of famous musicians, being a talented pianist himself. However, unbeknownst to them, their lineage contained the blood of demon weapons, people with the ability to turn into weapons. This trait manifested in Soul, who could turn into a demon scythe. After he found out about his abilities, he enrolled into Death Weapon Meister Academy to train himself in his powers. Of course, every demon weapon needs a weapon meister to wield them, and Soul found his in Maka Albarn. The two got along well, with Maka feeling that Soul was the first boy she could trust, and from then on, the two became not just a formidable weapon-meister duo, but also close friends.
